Route of Mahmutlar buses is extended to the end of Alanya
For a very long time, the residents of Mahmutlar and Kargicak waited for this news, and finally, the route of Mahmutlar buses is extended to the end of Alanya.
There are two transport organizations in Alanya. One of them is government, these are white city buses that travel inside the city and connect it with some regions. The farthest route reaches the beginning of Mahmutlar. The second company is private. These are dolmush buses that connect remote areas such as Kargicak or Avsallar with Alanya. Previously, to get, for example, from Mahmutlar to the bus station of Alanya, or to the famous Cleopatra beach, people had to use two buses, changing in the city center. Now the green Mahmutlar buses will go straight to the Western part of the city.
Alania has been waiting for a solution to this transport problem for many years. It was solved thanks to the persistence of the municipality of Alanya. This has been negotiated for a long time
Buses will start running on the new route from Monday, January 6, 2020. The route starts as usual, in Kargicak, or at the end of Mahmutlar, and will continue to the Western district Dinek at the exit of Alanya. In the same way, buses will deliver passengers from Alanya to Kargicak.
This issue was discussed in Antalya, together with the municipality and the public transport organization of Alanya. Earlier, it was proposed to extend the route of white city buses, which now have a final stop on Ataturk street at the beginning of Mahmutlar. But in the end, the Commission decided to stop at changing the routes of dolmush working in a private company.
“Alanya will become an exemplary region”, – said the mayor of the capital municipality of Antalya Mukhittin Becek,- ” the Problem was solved by consensus, the solution will satisfy both citizens and transport workers. Transport is one of the most important issues. We promised to make every effort to solve transport problems. The decision taken in Alanya is one of the most important steps, ” he said.
We will remind that now travel on dolmush costs 4 liras, for students and teachers 2.5 Lira. The fare for Mahmutlar is 3 liras. Let’s hope that the change of routes will not lead to a rise in the price of fares.
