International Christmas Fair in Alanya
Who said that Turkey does not celebrate the New Year? Welcome to the most cordial, hospitable and crowded event – December 7 and 8 in the heart of the city near the Bay is the international Christmas Fair in Alanya. It stretched from the municipality all the way to the harbor. Hundreds of citizens by whole families this weekend rushed there to feel the festive atmosphere of the approaching holiday. All day there will be different music, magic and joy everywhere.
You can find stands of almost all countries.
There are different Handicrafts at a symbolic price for sale. You can also taste national dishes of the peoples of the world. Treat yourself to homemade cakes and even mulled wine. Souvenirs and holiday decorations are made by the hands of Turkish, Russian and European masters, students of schools and colleges of Alanya.
Of course, most of the holiday Souvenirs, handmade jewelry presented by Turkey. You can enjoy the delights of Turkish cuisine, numerous desserts accompanied by performances of Turkish musical groups. Also there are stands of Norway, Finland, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Germany and Russian-speaking countries? Presented by Associations of foreign countries in Alanya. Each country presents its culinary masterpieces, introduces cultural customs and folk crafts.
In the center of the fair there is a huge sparkling Christmas tree, which rightfully occupies the place of the main Christmas decoration and informs about the approach of a wonderful holiday. This new year’s holiday beauty looks especially beautiful in the evening at dusk, when its shining stars are visible from everywhere.
Cheerful helpers of Santa Claus entertain the kids and help them to feel this festive atmosphere. And the most important Santa is waiting for everyone and receives guests in his Christmas house. In his farmstead there is even a magic cart, deers and real live Christmas trees.
For all visitors, a large festive Christmas concert will be on the stage, prepared by Amateur and professional groups, with obligatory chants performed by the Christmas choir.
The festive Bazaar will be held in two days, December 7 and 8, from 10 am to 8 PM. All funds received from the sale will go to charity, to the Fund to help people with disabilities.
